Custom Case Lids: How to Add Your Logo, Text or Icon

Updated October 4, 2026 · 2 min read

Short answer

in the builder's lid designer you add one or two lines of text, choose an icon from the library or upload your own logo, and set its size and angle. The design prints into the lid in a second color, and the builder checks it's thick enough to print sharply.

Three ways to design a lid

  • Text: one or two lines, such as your brand name and a tagline.
  • Icon: pick from the icon library, which covers lab, health, fitness, shapes and more.
  • Your logo: upload an SVG and the builder fits it to the lid.

You can add a border and rotate the design too.

Rules that keep it sharp

Very fine lines don't print cleanly, so the builder enforces minimums:

  • Letter height: at least 4 mm on the first line and 3 mm on a second line.
  • Line thickness: at least 0.8 mm.
  • Gaps: at least 0.6 mm between details.

If something is too small, the builder tells you before you order.

Colors

The art prints in the case's second color, so it contrasts with the lid color. The preview shows the actual colors.

Lids with a sensor window

If your case has a temperature sensor window, the design flows around the window automatically.
